James Hopkins

Description: Genius. That's probably the best word that i can think of, and most appropriate when describing James works. A good portion of his projects deal with perception, toying with separate visions that depend on the angle the piece is viewed at. Some works deal with distortion, and others have hidden images inside assortments of objects. "Tom and Jerry" and "Role Reversal" are two stand out pieces, in my eyes.

Description: Claire is a mixed media artist from illinois who paints and draws simple pieces that all involve nature. I'm drawn to this body of work because of the subdued colors and strong use of shapes and lines.

Description: Lorcan makes super cool films of various lengths. He also creates delightfully odd and humorous, but yet extremely well done illustrations. I really dig the short film "Curiosity", which was commissioned by Sony.

Description: Mareen is an amazing photographer who pumps out so much work it's hard to keep up! She has heavy interest in fashion and makes a great portrait. One project that you NEED to check out is titled "panography". Amazing works of art created from a slew of photographs taken in the same vicinity. "Nite and Seek" is another really great series.

Description: Scott Radnige is one talented gentleman. I am really drawn to his aesthetic, specifically his works involving birds. His words section has a lot of great short stories that are very expressive and poetic. My favorite was his piece titled "naked cold bed". You should also check out some of the electronic audio he's creating under the moinker "We Have Meteorite Sickness!" (good stuff).
