Hi there -- thanks for the invite. I haven't had time to explore or post a find since I joined. I have many finds, and I'll try and remember to post them here. Yes, I do know Odd Nerdrum -- great painter!
Mike, John S. told me about your project. You've seen my studio and the work I am trying to do. Now that I am seeing yours, I'm interested in collaborating with you on a joint project.
Finally, I need a website... let's talk.
Hey Mike! I'm glad to hear that things are going well for you right now. I'd have gotten back to you sooner but that i've been busy w/ all sorts of family stuff & other matters. To answer your question, the 7th piece, 'The Queen of Parts' is $150.00 & is 6x12 in., the 10th 'The Fruits of Conjecture', is $200.00 & 8x8 in.; but if you wanted to buy the pair, i'd sell you both for $250.00. Thanks for asking & keep up the good work...(more)(less)
Thanks so much I appreciate it! I look at film a lot for my inspiration...Sin City, Amelie, and anything Tim Burton rocks my socks off...and David Lynch.
That's Sam - a "simp" / aka. super chimp! I guess you could say he "volunteered" his time in space exploration at some point. Ask Coyle about the plaque that used to display at a company back in 2001. :-)
Hi Mike, and thanks.
So are you like, "The Webmaster" here, or just (from the looks of your responses) a hefty contributor?
I see you're also here in Philly. Whereabouts? Don't worry, I'm not looking for free coffee! Are there any "really great" tools or features on this site that you can tip me off on to save me time?
I just came across it, and now I don't even know how.
I think I was poking around on Craig's List. ...(more)(less)
hey mike it is more mind over matter. i find my strength from inside and once i have found that i can do just about anything... i am 5'6 135 lbs and have discovered that i can move quite a lot by just focusing on what i need to do to make my art work.
great shots from the airplanes. the toys getting ready for work is really nice. After looking at your site, I can see I'll have to list some more finds. Nice page.
Hey Mike, thanks for dropping by.
The picture is actually a frame from a diptych called "UR".
It pictures an ox fur and and a chewing snout.
Take care,
Óskar Ericsson
Thanks for your comments Mike. It's a 12 color silkscreen print of a church in Philly, maybe you've seen the building. Can't remember where I shot it somewhere downtown near a park I think.
Hey Mike, nice to meet you. I need to reduce my image sizes to upload, but I'll get a bunch up. I'm finishing up some wood assemblages for an Open Studios. Here in Nor Cal where the mountains meet the sea. Ciao.
The Mona Lisa pattern came from a bead magazine. For the cat I used Photoshop to lay a grid over a photgraph and worked from there. Not bad for my first attempt but I'm still not satisfied.
Hi Mike, it's Sargent York. The person in the picture is me several eons ago. I am holding a toilet plunger with
a blue rubber cup with fifty white stars printed on it; the
handle is red and white striped and it has a larger white star in the bottom center of the cup with the number fifty one planted on it. It is a simulation of the statue of liberty and a satire on Puertorican Statehood. Visit my website at www.myspace.com/shoeart for more images
and a fair amount of culture schock....(more)(less)
Re: Douglas Coupland: Generation X is his finest work, I think, followed closely by Microserfs and then, possibly, Girlfriend in a Coma. He's the author widely credited with coining the term "Generation X" in the first place. Happy reading!
Hi Mike, I just moved to DE last May. I have not found the art scene in DE yet. There is not much on craigslist for DE artists. However, there is alot of artists. The state of DE actually has a web page for the arts and artists can register. www.artsdel.org. So there is alot of art and goings on here. I just haven't tapped in because I still work a "job." I am not a full time artist, yet. I have found there is alot of artists in philly that want to network/collaberate, and that is my opinion from looking at craigslist. There are very few postings on the DE craigslist for artists and creative opportunities.
Thanks! ...(more)(less)
Sure thing!
Far too many countries to travel to...
...not enough time.
Also, I enjoyed the aerial photos. How did you get them so well without the airplane window reflecting (cloudy day maybe...)?
Hi Mike, thanks for the good words; it means alot from a fellow artist!
if there are works that you are interested in buying, feel free to email me about it, some have gone to family & friends, but i'll let you know if i still have that particular piece. i post new stuff more often on my saatchi page: http://www.saatchi-gallery.co.uk/yourgallery/artist_profile//11035.html
& my email is on my website
thanks again

Hey-- you asked me a question about "If You Could Say It In Words". Thanks!
The short answer is, we don't know yet about when/where our next screening will be. Our last showing of the movie was a Finishing Funds-raiser at the Trocadero last August. We're submitting to film festivals right now, including the Philadelphia Film Fest (as well as the Festival of Independents within PFF). If all goes well, we'll be there! If not, we'll be submitting elsewhere throughout the year.
In the meantime, we have a number of places where you can find out what's going on with the movie. One is www.IndieGogo.com/IfYouCouldSayItInWords -- among other things, this is where we are having a fund drive for final sound edits. Another is myspace.com/chipchair, where we keep a blog. Finally, a wonderful interview with writer/director Nicholas Gray and lead actor Alvin Keith on WrongPlanet.net, a website for the Autism and Asperger's communities.
Thanks for the inquiry!...(more)(less)
